Out of gamut tolerance
Whilst Adstream and the Broadcasters will reject illegal video levels they understand there may be instances where it is difficult to completely avoid, and following EBU recommendation R.103-2 will allow a small tolerance, assuming no more that 1% of the active picture is in error.
    • Luminance (Y) -1% and 103%
         (ie between -7mV and 721mV)
    • RGB video levels  -5% and 105%
         (ie between -35mV and 735mV)

The loudness level of the programme material must be in agreement with the EBU R128-2014 directive, including the following delivery specifications :

• Target Level Tolerance : +/- 0.0 LU
• Maximum True Peak : -3dBTP
• Maximum Momentary : No Limitation
• Maximum Short Term Momentary (3 Sec) : -20 LUFS
• Loudness Range : No Limitation

Note: 'Integrated Loudness' is the definition for the target of the 'Programme Loudness' stated in metres in conformity with EBU Tech 3341.

Local Clearance

For local clearance all material must be submitted and cleared by the ARPP before delivery to the French Broadcasters.

Note: Must contain 7 second Slate, 3" Black/Silence pre TVC and 1" Black/Silence post TVC; and should be submitted in the following format:

HD Video : MPEG-4, H.264/AVC, Main or High. 1920x1080 progressive, 25 fps, 8Mb/s • SD Video : MPEG-4, H.264/AVC, Main or High. 720x576 progressive, 25 fps, 5Mb/s

Audio : AAC, Stereo, 256kb/s, 16bit, 48kHz

Slate Information:

For this region a valid clock/slate is mandatory, the slate will be created automatically when you upload your file to Media Manager. The metadata added to the slate will be taken from your order, so please ensure that it has been inputted correctly.

All material must be submitted and cleared by the ARPP before delivery to the French broadcasters.

Adstream can manage all of the copy clearance in this region through their sister company, The Traffic Bureau. Please contact an Adstream representative for more details.

Each video file will be named with the ARPP PubID for France.
