Quick Guide (Press)

As a Production team member for the Press workflow you will need to upload work against work items and send them for approval.

Before your involvement in the workflow, the Account Manager creates work items corresponding to work to be completed, the Resource Manager then assigns them to you.

Use the workflow diagram to get a bigger picture of the process.

First of all, once you've logged in, work items will be assigned to you and you will see them on your homepage, accessible through the house icon  in the nav bar at the top of the page.

Clicking the work item you want to work on will open it and take you to the Details tab. At the top there is a set of tabs, of which you will be using: Details, Brief and Files.

In the Details tab, change the status to In Production and click Save.

Once you've finished your work offline, you can upload the file and change the work item status to move the process on - this is slightly different for the two workflows. To do this, open the work item and follow these steps:

  1. Click the Files tab
  2. Click Add files
  3. Add a description of the file and click Select
  4. Navigate to the relevant file using your computer's file picker
  5. Click Open
  6. Click Save
  7. Click the Details tab
  8. Change the work item status to Pre-Flight
  9. Click Save

Setting the status to Pre-Flight will then trigger the pre-flight check automatically. The pre-flight check will either pass, fail or return warnings.

  1. If the pre-flight passes, your work is done so you need to log your time{/s}.
  2. If the pre-flight fails, a new revision of the work item will be generated and a link will appear in the Brief tab, linking you to a summary of why it has failed. You must then make the appropriate changes and upload a new file by repeating the process in the numbered list above{/s}.
  3. If the pre-flight check returns warnings, a link will appear in the Brief tab, linking you to a summary of the warnings. You must then either:
    1. accept the warnings by checking the boxes next to the warnings, this will automatically send the work for QA Approval.
    2. reject the warnings. You must then make the appropriate changes to the work and upload a new version of the file by opening the file in question from the Files tab and clicking the New Version button. Then change the status again to Pre-flight and repeat.

You can access training and help directly within the platform, by clicking the blue Help icon on the right side of the page.  We've set up training tasks tailored to your role.
Access these from the training tab of the Help menu and you will be guided step by step through different tasks. These tasks will get crossed off as you complete them. You can replay them whenever you need to as well as access other content from the Help Menu.
